Taking care of our teeth while whitening doesn't have to cause toothaches, or be filled with chemicals that are harsh on our pearly whites. It can actually be exciting, safe, and affordable (and provide a great confidence boost, too)!
Strips and whiteners from the store always give such horrible sensitivity problems. Plus they are expensive! Not the case with this. Natural and safe ingredients. And inexpensive!
All it takes is brushing with Thieves AromaBright toothpaste with a drop of Orange essential oil twice a day for one month.
30 days to whiter teeth...with NO chemicals!! Who is ready??

Jean Patou's "Joy" sells for $600 oz. It is considered so valuable because it contains Rose and Jasmine flowers.
PAUSE - Even those "true" perfumes are made with only 15-30% essential oils or fragrance, the rest is just alcohol and water. :/
Soooooo what if you instead use this blend of 100% pure essential oils - Jasmine and Rose included!
Saving money and saving health for the win!!
Was it melting wax, or aerosol cans? Neither!
Did I get itchy watery eyes, a headache, or congestion? Of course not!
What I was watching and smelling was distilled water and essential oils being diffused into our room. ♡
Who made water and plants? God did! Who did He make them for? His Creation to enjoy! No wonder my body loves them!!
Deodorant - you can't live with it and you can't live without it.
But when I nonchalantly turned around the container of my basic/no-color/plain-Jane/harmless deodorant, I was met with an overwhelming label. And I do not mean overwhelmingly wonderful.
To be fair, no where on this deodorant did it claim to be GOOD for my health. But for some reason in my naive assumptions, I did not expect it to be BAD for me!
The ingredients were daunting at best -
Aluminum Zirconium Trichlorohydrex,
Hydrogenated Castor Oil,
But the warnings were very telling, if not down-right intimidating. What they told was not a pleasant story.
There is something I learned quite a while back, but tend to forget: The skin absorbs at least 60% of what we put on it.
That piece of knowledge came to the forefront of my mind when I read this label -
For external use only.
Do not use on broken skin.
Ask a doctor before use if you have kidney disease.
Stop use if rash or irritation occurs.
Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
I'm not sure when it became acceptable for "Poison Control Center" to need a reference on our most basic health and beauty aids. Even though that seems to be the way "everyone" lives now.
I am so thankful there is something embedded in our hearts and minds that knows there has to be a better way to live!
And what lifestyle change could be any easier to make than something as simple (though it had become more dangerous than simple) as deodorant!
*Insert light-bulb idea*. What about a make-it-yourself deodorant that could literally be eaten with a spoon...if one were so inclined. A deliberate search of Pinterest and Google gave me "recipe" ideas to try for this.
Here is the combination I wound up with:
(Makes about 3 months worth)
3 ~ 4 Tbsp coconut oil, solid
2 Tbsp baking soda
2 Tbsp cornstarch
3 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil
2 drops Tangerine Essential Oil
In a bowl with the coconut oil, combine baking soda and cornstarch until well blended. The texture should be firm but pliable, so you can add a little more of any of the current ingredients if needed. Drop in the Essential Oils - can substitute for other flavors. Spoon into a container with a lid. Happily use each day :-)
